PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Buyer with experience in Civil Engineering and Construction projects.

Our client is an established contractor and have a very good pipeline of work. You will be responsible for supporting the project by managing materials , supply chain, planning of operations, project delivery and assisting with keeping the project on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities will be:

• Responsible for developing and maintaining materials strategy
• Managing a Materials Management Team
• Accountable for materials supply chain management in liaison with commercial team
• Work with Management to identify supply needs
• Produce and maintain materials strategy
• Manage materials in line with Materials Strategy
• Ensure compliance with Quality Management Plan
• Support procurement team
• Record and assess all materials quality, movements and expenditure
• Manage materials reconciliation and forecast
• Review and maintain Inspection and Test plans
• Ensure processes and procedures are being followed
• Manage material testing process and regime
• Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity
• Manage ongoing continuous improvement and encourage innovative solutions
• Raise risk and opportunities

You will be expected to:

• Establishment of solid partnership with key supply chain
• Ensure compliance with internal and external governance
• Management of materials budget whilst minimising waste and maximising maximise value
• Have Knowledge of NEC and commercially astute.
• Design and Build / ECI experience within infrastructure
