Opportunity: An established multi-disciplinary consultancy specialising in environment-led planning and design is seeking an experienced Associate / Technical Director of Arboriculture to lead and expand their national arboricultural consultancy team. Responsibility: Team Leadership & Development: Lead and grow a national arboricultural consultancy team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development. Project Oversight: Take a leadership role in planning projects, coordinating and overseeing delivery, ensuring high-quality outcomes aligned with best practices and relevant British Standards. Business Development: Actively engage in business development by building upon existing client relationships and seeking new opportunities to expand the arboricultural service offering. Technical Excellence: Provide technical input into projects and bids, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and policies, and maintaining a high standard of technical delivery. Strategic Input: Contribute to the development of team objectives, delegate effectively, and make decisions that align with the overall business strategy. Requirements: Experience: Over 10 years of relevant experience in arboriculture consultancy, with a proven track record in project delivery and team management. Qualifications: BSc, Masters, MArborA, or CEnv preferred. Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate teams, set goals, and manage performance effectively. Client Management: Strong client relationship management skills, with experience in winning new work and maintaining existing client relationships. Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, with the ability to undertake complex technical work and review deliverables produced by the team. Additional Requirements: Full, clean UK driving licence and ownership/use of a car with business insurance.
