Full time, 37.5 hours (Monday to Friday on a weekly rotating shift pattern of 08:00 - 16:30, 09:00 - 17:30 and 11:30 - 20:00)

Role Overview

Your role as a Radiology Administration Supervisor shall be to support the Diagnostic Imaging Admin Manager to supervise and coordinate all admin and daily activities in Radiology, leading the team and ensuring an efficient and high-quality service to patients and doctors.

You'll help us make health happen by:

  • Assist the DI Admin Manager in managing front line services and ensure all enquiries regarding the service are promptly responded to and/or re-directed to the appropriate departments.
  • Actively ensure the ongoing delivery of a quality service through efficient deployment of available resources.
  • Assist the DI Admin Manager to coordinate covers for the Consultant Radiologists' annual leave, Saturdays, and Interventional Radiology on call sessions throughout the year, reviewing the business impact and highlighting any anticipated issues in a timely manner.
  • Be responsible for ensuring that all staff are fully trained on relevant hospital systems and proficient with the main Radiology system SECTRA/RIS, to ensure that effective booking, patient information, reporting and filing systems are maintained and developed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Assist the DI Admin Manager to liaise with other leads in the department in ensuring that all Policies and Procedures for Radiology are kept up to date and reviewed on a regular basis.
  • Greeting patients in a polite and friendly manner in order to obtain relevant information for diagnostic bookings purposes; updating patient details when needed and scanning request forms into PACS; inputting all information accurately onto RIS and providing correct information when an examination date is confirmed.
  • Be responsible for the daily billing check to be carried out for all modalities across Radiology in order to capture the correct revenue in all areas - action any amendments/discrepancies directly on to the Compucare system and liaise with the billing team for further assistance (e.g., in the case of self-funding patients).

Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

  • Managerial/Supervisory experience is desirable
  • Administration experience
  • Experience dealing with complaints
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven experience of delivering customer services to an exceptionally high standard
  • IT Literate
  • Flexible
  • Organisation and attention to detail
