Job Requirements/Description

We're currently working with a fast-growing business in the commercial/office furniture installations sector, who are looking to hire a Junior Project Manager as part of their ongoing growth plan.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with commercial furniture or office installation experience who is ready to progress into a more client-facing, delivery-focused project role within a supportive and expanding organisation.

The Role

Reporting initially into a Senior Project Manager, the Junior Project Manager will support the delivery of multiple office furniture installation projects across London and the UK.

You'll manage a portfolio of 3-6 clients, typically overseeing up to three projects running in parallel, and will attend site visits approximately 3-4 times per month. This role offers clear progression as project responsibility increases over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the end-to-end planning and delivery of office furniture installation projects
  • Coordinating multiple live projects simultaneously
  • Managing day-to-day client communication and expectations
  • Liaising with suppliers, installers, logistics teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Preparing project schedules, delivery notes, installation plans, and reports
  • Attending site visits to monitor progress and resolve issues
  • Ensuring full compliance with health & safety requirements
  • Managing project documentation including quotes, purchase orders, and close-out packs
  • Assisting with project budgets, cost control, and resource planning
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, service quality, and client satisfaction

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in commercial / contract furniture or office furniture installations (essential)
  • Experience overseeing multiple clients and handling concurrent projects
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills
  • Professional, confident, and client-facing communication style
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); project management software exposure advantageous
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused approach
  • Willingness to attend site and be hands-on when required
  • Full UK driving licence preferred

What's on Offer

  • Bonus scheme linked to project performance
  • Structured support and mentoring from a Senior Project Manager
  • Clear career progression within a company actively investing in growth
  • Exposure to high-profile commercial projects
  • Supportive, ambitious, and collaborative working environment

This role will particularly suit someone looking to step up from a junior or coordinator-level position into a genuine project management career within the contract furniture sector.
