• Hourly Rate: £15.28ph + £2.52ph for any hours worked between 18:00 - 06:00 + £1.48 London Weighting Allowance

• Days of Work: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 19:00 - 06:45

Job Description

As a Class 1 LGV Driver for our Transport Department, you will be responsible for executing critical bulk collections and deliveries between various DPD sites and customers nationwide. This role is essential to maintaining our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Operating and maintaining a modern fleet of vehicles in accordance with company standards and road safety regulations.
2. Adhering strictly to agreed shift patterns to ensure timely deliveries and collections.
3. Executing precise trailer swaps or overseeing live unloading and reloading processes, as dictated by individual customer requirements.
4. Ensuring all deliveries are made to HGV-friendly locations, prioritising safety and efficiency.
5. Maintaining accurate and timely documentation for all transport operations.
6. Upholding the highest standards of professionalism as a representative of DPD during all customer interactions.
7. Complying with all relevant transport regulations and company policies at all times.

This role demands a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and commitment to excellence in all aspects of LGV operations.

Qualifications

What we’re looking for:

To be considered for the role you must have:

• A valid UK Class 1 Driving Licence 
• Minimum 12 months Class 1 experience
• A valid UK CPC Card
• A valid UK Digital Tachograph Card
• Ability to load / unload trailers where needed
