Mechanical Supervisor

Mechanical Site Supervisor - Long term contract with continuation on to other projects afterwards providing many years of work for the right person.

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to join our clients team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a 10 million commercial project. As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical installation, testing, and commissioning on-site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the day-to-day site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to maintain a smooth workflow and avoid conflicts.
• Implement and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) procedures.
• Manage the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Ensure that all installations are completed to the highest quality standards and in accordance with project specifications and industry best practices.
• Monitor and control material usage and labour costs to optimize project profitability.
• Conduct regular quality inspections to identify and rectify any defects or non-conformities.
• Implement quality control measures to prevent issues and ensure that all work meets the required standards.
• Prepare and submit quality control documentation, including inspection reports and test certificates.
• Lead and motivate a team of skilled mechanical installers and technicians.
• Provide clear instructions and guidance to ensure that all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Address performance issues and provide necessary training to improve skills and knowledge.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and project managers.
• Communicate effectively with clients to address their concerns and provide regular project updates.
• Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise on-site.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor on large-scale commercial projects.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
• Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
• Strong leadership and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Valid CSCS card.
• Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or a related field.
