Job Specification: Service Architect

Contract Type: 6-month initial contract (with the possibility of extension)
Location: Reading (predominantly site-based)
Clearance: Active DV clearance is essential due to the nature of the work



Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Service Architect to play a key role in delivering ITIL-aligned Service Design and implementation within a complex, large-scale transformation program. This role requires a candidate with a strong background in ITIL frameworks, stakeholder management, and leadership. You'll collaborate closely with the Programme Team onsite to ensure seamless service delivery, strategy, and continual improvement.



Essential Skills & Experience:

  • ITIL Service Accreditation, ideally ITIL Service Design certification.
  • Proven experience working across the full ITIL lifecycle, with a strong focus on Service Design and implementation.
  • Background in delivering large-scale service transformation programs.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow, including workflows, catalogues, and service automation.
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to influence and drive results without reliance on technical expertise.


Desirable Skills:

  • High-level understanding of software-defined networks (SDN) and their role in service delivery and improvement.
  • Experience working within secure environments, particularly in government or public sector programs.
