Primary Teacher

A two-form entry primary school is seeking a confident and committed Primary Class Teacher to join their team on a maternity cover basis from September 2026.This is a full-time classroom teaching role, requiring a teacher who can quickly establish strong routines, deliver consistently high-quality teaching, and maintain clear expectations for behaviour and learning throughout the academic year. There may be opportunities for subject leadership for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality lessons across the primary curriculum
• Establish and maintain strong, consistent behaviour management in line with whole-school systems
• Create a calm, structured, and purposeful learning environment
• Ensure all pupils make strong academic progress
• Take full responsibility for class organisation, safeguarding, and day-to-day classroom practice
• Contribute positively to the wider life and culture of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold QTS (or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification)
• Have recent experience teaching in a UK primary school
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and confident classroom presence
• Be organised, adaptable, and able to take ownership of a class
• Be committed to inclusive education and high expectations for all pupils
