Remedy Education is recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded specialist primary school in Camden for a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join their team from September. This outstanding specialist setting supports deaf pupils aged 4-11, providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential.

The RoleAs a BSL Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Support deaf pupils throughout the school day, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Use British Sign Language (BSL) to facilitate communication, learning, and social interaction.
- Interpret and sign classroom instructions, discussions, and learning activities.
- Work alongside teachers to deliver engaging and accessible learning experiences.
- Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
- Support speech, language, and communication development in collaboration with specialist professionals.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
The Ideal CandidateThe successful candidate will have:
- A minimum BSL Level 2 qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working with children, ideally within a primary school, SEN, or specialist education setting.
- Confidence using BSL within a classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting children.
- A genuine passion for inclusive education and supporting deaf learners.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
