SEN Teaching Assistant

Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Provide 1:1 support as a SEN Teaching Assistant for pupils with additional needs
• Support small groups as a SEN Teaching Assistant within the classroom
• Work with pupils with autism, ADHD, SEMH and speech and language needs as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation as a SEN Teaching Assistant

Requirements for a SEN Teaching Assistant:

• Previous experience working as a SEN Teaching Assistant or with SEN pupils
• A patient, caring and proactive attitude as a SEN Teaching Assistant
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Understanding of behaviour management strategies
• Availability for an immediate start as a SEN Teaching Assistant
