We are recruiting a Trainee Financial Adviser (Wealth) for our client, who are a successful financial planning company based in Milton Keynes, with an expanding team of experienced Financial Advisers. They provide comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to individuals, families, and business owners throughout the country, including investment management, retirement planning, estate planning, mortgage, protection, and legacy planning.
This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual with client service experience to join their proven training programme within a high-performing, value-driven environment and progress toward a fully qualified Financial Adviser role.
Role Overview:
As a Trainee Financial Adviser, you'll start within the client support team, working closely with existing advisers and paraplanners to learn all aspects of holistic financial advice. Over time, you will develop the knowledge, skills, and qualifications necessary to take on your own clients, with full support from the team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to financial advisers and the wider team.
- Prepare and process documentation related to client onboarding, investment and pension applications.
- Prepare meeting packs.
- Liaise with product providers and clients to follow up on documentation and ensure timely completion of cases.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and files in line with compliance requirements.
- Carry out transactions on investment platforms
- Monitor incoming emails and calls, directing enquiries appropriately.
- Support compliance and regulatory tasks, including maintenance of CRM.
- Maintain full compliance with FCA regulations, and internal governance procedures required within the role.
- Assist in producing reports, spreadsheets, and ad-hoc projects as needed.
- Assist in the production of financial plans, suitability reports, and investment recommendations.
- Conduct research on financial products, platforms, and legislation.
- Develop knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning, estate planning, and protection.
- Progress is through an in-house training programme and wider professional qualifications with structured training and mentoring.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and internal standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- You have a 'can do' attitude and are able to use your own initiative
- Working toward or willing to work toward the Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (CII or equivalent).
- Excellent customer service skills, with prior experience in a financial services or professional services environment preferred.
- Outstanding organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written, numerical and verbal communication abilities.

Salary: £30,000- £37,500 Competitive base + Study support
