About the Role

As a GCSE English Tutor, you will deliver tailored lessons to students preparing for their GCSE English exams. Your role will involve building confidence, improving comprehension, and fostering a love for literature and language. Whether your students need help mastering core concepts or refining their writing skills, your expertise will make a significant difference in their academic journey.

This flexible, part-time role allows you to choose your working hours, with the opportunity to schedule sessions in the mornings, afternoons, or evenings, based on your availability and the student's needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalized, one-to-one tutoring for GCSE English students.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to individual learning needs and goals.
• Help students develop key skills in reading, writing, and critical analysis.
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback to parents or carers.
• Foster a positive and motivating learning environment.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in English.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).

Highly Desirable:

• PGCE in English or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• A strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum.
