Head of Visual Merchandising - EuropeLocation: London or ParisSalary: Circa £100,000 + Bonus + Benefits
We are seeking a visionary and commercially driven Head of Visual Merchandising to lead and evolve the visual expression of a globally recognised lifestyle brand across European markets. This high-impact role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, customer experience, and strategic retail execution.
As the guardian of the brand's physical identity across Europe, you will define and implement innovative, brand-consistent visual strategies across all store formats - from flagship locations and shop-in-shops to new openings and pop-ups.
Key ResponsibilitiesStrategy & InnovationLead the development of seasonal and monthly visual strategies aligned with global brand identity and local commercial goals.
Shape long-term store layout concepts to optimise:
Customer flow
Product adjacencies & zoning
Storytelling through space
Own the visual planning for new stores, refurbishments, and special formats.
Direct in-store displays, windows, and product presentation for maximum visual impact and commercial relevance.
Ensure consistent execution of signage, wayfinding, and promotional graphics across regions.
Deliver clear, scalable visual guidelines (visual packs, planograms, etc.) tailored for local execution teams.
Manage a growing team including:
Brand Graphic Designer
Signage Graphic Designer
Regional VM Leads (x2)
Mentor and inspire local VM teams across Europe, fostering best practice sharing and alignment with central strategy.
Coordinate with Store Operations to manage signage logistics, translations, and installations.
Monitor the impact of VM strategies on key KPIs:
Sales uplift
Customer behavior
Conversion and traffic
Use insights and store feedback to continually refine visual standards and floorplans.
Partner with key departments:
Merchandising to amplify product launches
Marketing for campaign execution and seasonal messaging
Retail Operations for seamless rollout
Global HQ to ensure alignment without duplication
Align on budgets, timelines, and resources across countries.
Manage visual budgets related to:
Fixtures, graphics, and signage production
Installation, tools, and communication materials
