Vehicle Technician
Location: Blackbushe, Hampshire
Shift: Monday to Friday (40 hours a week, Overtime at 1.5. Some weekend working required)
Pay Rate: £20 per hour
Contract: Temp to Perm
We are currently recruiting for experienced Vehicle Technicians to join our client’s busy and professional workshop team in Southampton. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality standards of vehicle servicing and repair, working closely with the Workshop Supervisor and Manager.
The Role:
- Carry out general servicing and repairs on a wide range of vehicles
- Perform tyre changes and fitting duties
- Undertake road tests and ramp inspections where required
- Carry out repairs in line with approved methods and manufacturer guidelines
- Use diagnostic equipment to identify mechanical or electrical faults
- Complete warranty repairs in line with dealer/manufacturer standards
- Maintain accurate records and complete all required documentation
- Support junior technicians with guidance and training
- Assist with general workshop duties as needed
- Plan and manage workload efficiently to meet targets
The Person:
- City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) – essential
- Previous experience in a similar Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role
- Full UK driving licence - essential
- Strong diagnostic skills, including use of relevant equipment
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
- Able to work independently and make informed decisions
- Willingness to support and guide less experienced team members
- Passionate about delivering high-quality results
