Year 5 Teacher

Remedy are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 5 teacher to join a welcoming 2-form entry primary school in Lewisham. This is a long term position starting after Easter until the end of the academic year, with the exciting opportunity to transition into a permanent contract from September 2026.

With a high percentage of SEND and EAL pupils, the school prides itself on its inclusive ethos and supportive team. The successful Year 5 teacher will bring creativity, resilience, and a passion for meeting the needs of every learner. Previous experience supporting pupils with additional needs would be highly beneficial.

As a Year 5 teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the curriculum
• Differentiate effectively to support children with a range of abilities
• Work collaboratively with colleagues in the year group and across the school
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider school community

The ideal Year 5 teacher will:

• Hold QTS or equivalent
• Have proven classroom experience, ideally in Key Stage 2
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of strategies for supporting SEND and EAL pupils
• Be committed to ensuring every child reaches their full potential
• Have DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
