Alleyn's Junior School is seeking an inspiring Head of Infants to lead and manage our youngest learners in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 from Thursday 28 August 2025.
As a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, this role plays a strategic part in shaping the future of the Junior School, setting a clear vision for Infant education, and ensuring our youngest pupils thrive in a stimulating and nurturing environment.
We are looking for a passionate leader who delights in early years education, innovation, and collaboration. The Head of Infants will oversee the academic and pastoral development of the Infant Department, fostering excellence in teaching and learning while embracing the joy and curiosity of young children. With a reduced teaching load focused on PSHE and Creative Curriculum, this role provides the space to contribute to the school's strategic ambitions, working closely with senior colleagues, including the Head of the Junior School and the Head of Alleyn's. As the Alleyn's Schools Group expands to include Alleyn's Regent's Park and Alleyn's Hampstead, this is an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact within a forward-thinking school community.
All staff have access to excellent facilities and resources, along with a range of fantastic benefits, which can be found in our Working at Alleyn's Junior School brochure.
To apply, please visit our website via the button below.
Interviews are planned for Tuesday 25 March and further details can be found in the attached job description.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss an application, you are very welcome to contact the HR Department ( , ).
Please note that suitable candidates may be interviewed before the closing date, and we reserve the right to withdraw the position if an early appointment is made.
The School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check. Alleyn's is an Equal Opportunities employer.
Alleyn's welcomes applications from all applicants who meet the requirements for the position. However, we are especially keen to receive applications from those in minority groups for which the School is currently underrepresented. We celebrate diversity and thrive on the benefits it brings.
