Salter Grange is currently recruiting a Project planner for a market-leading fit-out and refurbishment Main Contractor who transforms spaces across retail, healthcare, education, and government sectors.

Their work ranges from modernising commercial offices to upgrading facilities, always tailored to the unique needs of each project using Asta Power Projects.

Focusing on sustainability and efficiency, they excel in delivering projects within live environments, ensuring minimal disruption. Their portfolio highlights a strong track record in creating functional, modern spaces that meet high industry standards.

This will be a long-term contract position on a CIS or PAYE basis with the potential to become a permanent employee or stay on a long-term contract. This position will require travel to the project when needed. Please note that candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK.

Project Planner Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate planning activities to ensure seamless delivery of fit-out, refurbishment, and property upkeep projects from pre-contract through to completion.
  • Develop performance metrics, manage project changes, and create detailed programmes and schedules integrating design, procurement, and operations.
  • Provide accurate advice on the impact of changes and assess extensions of time.
  • Produce project schedules that align with the pace and complexity of fast-moving projects.
  • Monitor performance across all project phases, guiding teams to achieve successful outcomes while prioritising client needs.

Project Planner:

  • Familiarity with Asta Powerproject software
  • extensive experience in planning within fit-out, Refurbishment or Construction projects
  • A thorough understanding of construction contracts and expertise in performance measurement techniques such as Critical Path Analysis and Earned Value Analysis
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
  • A commitment to precision, quality, and exceeding client expectations in every aspect of project delivery
