Secondary Cover Supervisors - Portsmouth and Surrounding Areas

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking Cover Supervisors and Cover Teachers to work with schools across Portsmouth and nearby areas.

You'll be working with a variety of schools, all of which have experienced and supportive Senior Leadership Teams. Roles involve covering a range of subjects and classes on either a full-time or ad hoc basis-making this a fantastic opportunity for graduates or individuals with prior experience in an educational setting.

We are actively supporting Mainstream Secondary Schools, as well as SEN and Alternative Provisions catering to pupils aged 10-16 with Education Health and Care Plans. These settings serve a wide spectrum of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, including Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH) and Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC).

• Position: Cover Supervisor / Cover Teacher

• Type of Work: Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 cover

• Start Date: ASAP

• End Date: Ongoing

• Contract Type: Temporary

• Schedule: Full-time or ad hoc

• Pay Rate: £120 - £150 per day

• Hours: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm

• Degree (preferred but not essential)

• Minimum 1 year of experience working with young people

• Up-to-date Safeguarding training (we can provide this if needed)

• Right to work in the UK

• Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service (or willingness to apply for one)

• Two professional child-related references

• Free, accredited CPD courses including Safeguarding and Behaviour Management

• Access to our in-house Training and Development Team
