A well known retailer is seeking a Senior Buyer to cover maternity leave and contribute to expanding its online product range while driving sales.

This position of Senior Buyer will work closely with the Head of Online Trading and Buying teams to execute the online range expansion strategy, source high-quality suppliers, and develop strategic category trading plans. The role provides an opportunity to make a significant impact on the business by introducing exciting new products and delivering great value to customers.

Key responsibilities in the position of Senior Buyer:

• Collaborate with buyers to achieve dropship range expansion and maintain relationships with existing suppliers to enhance sales and profitability.
• Negotiate profitable trading terms with suppliers.
• Ensure that new suppliers and product ranges align with the company's overall strategy.
• Develop and implement strong, profitable trading plans that engage customers and boost sales.
• Work with internal departments to execute product strategies and maximize customer reach.
• Stay informed about market trends, including social media, to understand evolving consumer behaviour and introduce innovative, culturally relevant products.

To be considered for the position of Senior Buyer, you will offer the following:

• Strong knowledge of e-commerce trading, including PPC, email marketing, and the influence of social media on consumer buying habits.
• At least 3 years of experience in buying for an online category, with a proven record of driving exceptional growth.
• Solid understanding of the dropship channel, including its risks and rewards.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Highly organized, with a strong background in negotiation and influencing.
• Adaptable and flexible in a dynamic e-commerce environment.
• Savvy in e-commerce and social media trends.
