Band 7 Paediatric OT- Surrey

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and passionate Band 7 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic and supportive team. The successful candidate will work within a paediatric setting, providing high-quality care to children with a variety of physical and neurological conditions.

Location: Sutton
Contract Type: Full-time (35 hours per week) Open to part-time applicants
Salary: £29-32 per hour (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and treat paediatric patients, focusing on improving functional independence and promoting optimal health outcomes.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans based on thorough assessments and collaborative decision-making.
• Work with children experiencing a range of conditions, including those requiring acute care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physiotherapists, nurses, and medical staff, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Deliver interventions for both short-term and long-term rehabilitation, adjusting the approach according to each child s needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and progress reports in line with organisational standards.
• Support families and caregivers by providing advice on strategies to aid in the child s rehabilitation and development.

Requirements:

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working in paediatrics, with a background in acute settings.
• Previous experience working in an oncology setting is highly desirable but not essential.
• Strong knowledge of paediatric conditions and rehabilitation needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and with families.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
• A compassionate and patient-centred approach to care, ensuring the well-being of each child is prioritised.
