SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

• Work alongside experienced and highly trained SEN staff to support students with SEMH and other additional needs.
• Assist in the academic development of students, encouraging them to achieve their potential.
• Support students with personal care if required.
• Develop strong relationships with pupils, teachers, and parents to foster a supportive environment.
• Adapt your approach to suit the needs of each individual student, using initiative to support their learning and development.

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience with children, young people, or adults with special needs is desirable but not essential.
• A caring and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about supporting students with SEN.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team.
• A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to adapt your teaching style to suit the needs of each student.
• A willingness to support personal care needs when necessary.

Essential Requirements:

• Enhanced DBS (on the update service or willingness to obtain one).
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• A Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification (Level 2 or above) or equivalent experience.
