Optometrist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified Optometrist to deliver high-quality eye care and promote eye health in line with GOC standards. You will play a key role in ensuring excellent visual outcomes and providing a patient-focused clinical experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, and specialist clinics (e.g. dry eye).
- Provide clear, patient-focused advice on eye health and preventative care.
- Use advanced diagnostic equipment including OCT, fundus camera, tonometry, and visual fields.
- Maintain accurate and compliant patient records.
- Work collaboratively with Dispensing Opticians and support staff to ensure a seamless patient journey.
- Contribute to clinical governance and quality assurance processes.
Team Development:
- Work closely with the wider clinical and retail team to support a positive and efficient practice environment.
- Participate in CPD activities and ongoing professional development.
- Share knowledge and best practices to enhance team performance and patient care.
About You:
- BSc (Hons) Optometry (or equivalent) and GOC registered.
- Experience in community optometry practice.
- Strong clinical and communication skills with a patient-centred approach.
- Additional accreditations (e.g. GRR, Post Cataract) are advantageous.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.
