Deputy or Nursery Manager

This is a Term time only position.

Salary £25,000 to £35,000, plus holiday pay at 12.07%.

At Crafty Wizards, we are a multi-award winning set of small, unique, family style pre-schools and nurseries for children aged between 3 months-5 year olds.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Deputy or Nursery Manager to oversee and support the daily operations of our preschool. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and experience working with children. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to communicate effectively in English, and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Duties

• Manage the overall operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Develop and implement educational programmes that promote the physical, emotional, and social development of children.
• Supervise and support staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Communicate effectively with parents, providing updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment for children to learn and play.
• Organise activities that encourage children's creativity and curiosity.
• Ensure that all health and safety protocols are adhered to within the preschool setting.
• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement in nursery and preschool practices and policies.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• A background in early childhood education is highly desirable.
• Ability to drive initiatives that enhance children's learning experiences.
• A genuine passion for childcare and commitment to fostering children's development.
