Teacher of English

Teaching across KS3 - KS4 (with the potential for KS5 in the future)

Full-time, Permanent contract

ASAP or January start (flexible for the right candidate)

Outer London payscale

MPS2 - MPS5

Salary approx. £38,318 - £45,000 per annum (Outer London MPS2-MPS5)

Located in Havering

School Description - English Teacher

Mixed 11-16 or 11-18 Secondary School with strong community links

Consistently solid Progress 8 scores and improving English outcomes

Calm, purposeful learning environment with clear behaviour expectations

Applicant Specification - English Teacher

UK QTS in English (or closely related subject)

At least one year of successful teaching experience (MPS2-MPS5)

Confident teaching the English curriculum at KS3 and KS4

Evidence of securing strong progress and engagement in previous classes

Strong classroom management skills and a positive, consistent approach

Passionate about raising attainment and closing gaps in literacy

Willing to contribute to extra-curricular clubs such as Debate, Creative Writing or Drama (desirable but not essential)
