To support this growth, they are seeking a talented Mechanical Estimator to join their expanding and collaborative estimating team.

As a key member of this team, you'll work alongside experienced professionals to prepare accurate and high-quality mechanical estimates for a diverse range of prestigious projects within the Commercial and Data Centre sectors. What you'll be doing:

  • Preparing accurate and competitive mechanical cost estimates for tender submissions.
  • Analysing project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to determine scope and requirements.
  • Undertaking detailed take-offs of mechanical quantities.
  • Obtaining and evaluating quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Identifying and assessing potential risks and opportunities within estimates.
  • Contributing to value engineering exercises.
  • Working closely with the wider estimating team and other departments.
  • Maintaining and updating estimating databases and cost information.

What you'll need:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E industry.
  • A strong understanding of mechanical building services systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and pipework.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • A proactive and enthusiastic approach to work.
