Warehouse Operative

Working for a leading distributor of sign-making materials and equipment across the UK. The ideal candidate for this position will possess a positive, engaging personality with the energy to work hard and efficiently, whilst demonstrating capability to accept additional responsibilities as the business continues to thrive and when the Operations Manager is away from site.

This is a Monday to Friday full-time position (40 hours).

Key duties & responsibilities of the Warehouse Operative

• Picking stock items
• Packing customer orders
• Stock taking of warehouse items
• Measuring and cutting metal products as per customer requirements
• Coordinating collections with appropriate courier
• Database management
• Conducting daily housekeeping duties to maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety
• Conducting all duties and activities in accordance with health and safety policies, guidance and good judgment

Knowledge, experience & skills required by the Warehouse Operative

• Good English, Maths and IT skills
• Physically fit - manual handling is a key part of the role
• Honest, reliable, hard working with a "can do attitude"
• Good teamwork with excellent communication
• The ability to complete paperwork and count stock items
• An understanding of health and safety regulations
• Goes the extra mile to get the job complete (prepared to work overtime)
• A counterbalance/flexi forklift license would be beneficial but not essential
