Head Chef
The key Responsibilities will include:
- Manage all production functions of the kitchen and the kitchen staff.
- Motivate, develop and train supervisors and culinary staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards
- Exhibit exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment, counselling employees as appropriate and demonstrating a dedicated and professional approach to management.
- Reviews staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met
- Ensure the correct procedures are followed while maintaining high standards at all times
- Actively involved in menu development and calculates food costs for all menu items
- Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Food Safety requirement
Essential skills required:
- Has experience and understanding of food mass production.
- Passionate about food, with a charismatic, vibrant & high energy approach
- Excellent knowledge of food hygiene & handling complex dietary requirements including allergies and intolerances
- Experience in leading, motivating and inspiring a team
- Performance, achievement and results driven
