Vehicle Technician

My client is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join their service department in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, a commitment to high-quality workmanship, and excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate will have a Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair. An MOT tester qualification is desirable but not essential.

Hours and Salary:

• Monday to Friday - 8 am to 5:30 pm.
• 1 in 4 Saturdays, a 4-hour shift 8 am to 12 midday.
• A basic salary of 35-40,000, depending on experience.

The candidate we are looking for:

The successful candidate will be skilled in diagnostics, electronics, servicing, and general vehicle repairs. A positive attitude, teamwork, and the ability to work independently are essential.

Responsibilities

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of vehicles.

Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.

Perform vehicle inspections and provide accurate repair assessments.

Maintain detailed records of all work completed.

Ensure all work meets safety standards and industry regulations.

Work efficiently within a team and independently when required.

Qualifications & Requirements

Level 3 qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair.

Proven experience in a similar role, with strong mechanical knowledge.

MOT tester certification (preferred but not essential).

Full UK driving licence (manual and automatic, no more than 3 points).

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to work.
