Fire Safety Manager

Our client in London is a NHS Trust with a large, diverse estate. They are seeking a permanent Fire Safety Manager, a key role as leader and influencer across the Trust s estate. This crucial role will ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements and that all fire safety regulations under current codes of practise are addressed across a complex and multi-site estate.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Be the Trust s lead expert for fire safety providing expert professional advice to the Trust s board and senior management on all currently fire safety legislation and RRO.
• To lead, provide expert specialist and professional fire information service for all capital projects, provide advice to Trust staff and key stakeholders, including directors and senior management.
• You will develop and lead on policies, strategies and for implementation of the Trust s fire compliance annual mandatory programme. You will continually improve reporting systems in order to maintain a safe environment for all patients and staff.
• You will be responsible for the effectiveness of a comprehensive fire safety training programme, for all types of staff at all levels.

The successful candidate will possess proven experience in fire safety management, preferably within a healthcare setting. You will have an in-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements. You will be an excellent communicator with interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications in fire safety management are a necessity (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management, Fire Risk Assessment).

This is a permanent opportunity, offering an annual salary of £70,387 - £80,465 depending on experience.
