Nurture Primary Teaching Assistant

A warm and inclusive primary school in the heart of Lambeth is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Teaching Assistant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in special educational needs (SEN) who is committed to making a difference in the lives of young learners.

• Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
• Adapt learning activities to suit individual needs and learning styles
• Collaborate with class teachers and SENCO to implement individual education plans (IEPs)
• Support students in developing their communication, social, and emotional skills
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment

• Experience supporting children with Autism, ideally in a school setting
• Strong understanding of strategies such as PECS, TEACCH, or visual timetables (desirable)
• Calm, patient, and empathetic nature
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
