Our client, who is part of a Multi-National organisation and offers Freight Forwarding & Logistics solutions, with a focus on international shipping and intermodal services, is looking to recruit an Air Freight Import / Export Operator to be based at offices at their newly established London Heathrow office.

Main Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Air Freight Manager, manage and support the air freight forwarding operations to ensure that the company s objectives are met in a consistent and pro-active manner. To work towards enhancing the profitability of the section by working closely with both internal and external partners/suppliers and maintain a high level of customer contact.
Duties And Responsibilities of the Air Freight Import / Export Operator:
- Handling air import and export freight forwarding operations
- Maintain and develop relationships with customer
- To meet deadlines/requirements as per client requests
- Monitor Supplier performance
- Good file management and attention to detail
- Prepare Quotations in accordance with client s request
- Booking vehicles with subcontractors in accordance with requirement
- Complete required consignment documentation
- Complete export/import customs documents where required
- Ensure the correct documentation is produced depending of country of destination and the status of the goods
- Charging of own files
- Managing distribution and depot/depot costs
To Be Considered:
- Proven experience with air import and export freight forwarding operations
- Excellent communication verbal, written and interpersonal skills
- Commercial awareness right service provider for task/job
- Positive, can do attitude
- Preferred Experienced with Microsoft Office packages e.g. word, excel, PowerPoint
- Strong literacy and numeracy skills
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise
- Attention to detail and self-motivated
- Strong team ethic and share knowledge
- Completed IATA courses
