Container Transport Coordinator / Planner

Location: Tilbury Full-Time: up to £55,000 pa

Are you an experienced logistics professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We're seeking a Container Transport Coordinator to oversee daily vehicle movements, streamline operations, and ensure timely deliveries across the UK.

The Role:

• Organise and dispatch vehicles to meet tight delivery schedules.
• Guide drivers with clear, real-time instructions and adapt to changing conditions.
• Strategically plan loads to boost productivity and minimize expenses.
• Act as the central point of contact for drivers, clients, and internal departments.
• Track journeys, troubleshoot delays, and maintain operational flow.
• Uphold transport legislation and safety protocols.
• Keep systems updated with accurate trip and load data.
• Provide clients with delivery updates and respond to queries.

What You'll Bring:

• Hands-on experience in container logistics or fleet coordination.
• Strong understanding of UK transport routes and legal requirements.
• Skilled in using transport management systems (TOPS essential) and VBS platforms.
• Comfortable with digital tools including MS Office and shipping line portals.
• Proven ability to manage multiple vehicle schedules daily.
• Excellent organizational, decision-making, and communication skills.
• A calm, solutions-focused mindset with a flexible approach to working hours.
