Compliance and Transparency Officer The Role:
To help the delivery of proactive and reactive advice to parties and other campaigners, and to ensure that all statutory reports from political parties and others are processed and published by the Commission in a clear, accessible and intelligible manner, and to check whether the reports comply with legislation.

While London is the preferred location (as most of the team and stakeholders are based there), applicants based in Cardiff, Edinburgh, or Belfast will also be considered. Regular travel to London is required.
Compliance and Transparency Officer Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure political parties and campaigners are aware of and meet statutory reporting deadlines
- Receive, log, file, and publish statutory returns within strict timeframes
- Analyse reports and electoral register data to identify potential non-compliance
- Prepare cases of non-compliance for senior staff review and potential regulatory action
- Support the development and implementation of new compliance processes and financial control reviews
Compliance and Transparency Officer You:
- Experience analysing financial and numeric data, identifying issues and non-compliance
- Strong planning skills and the ability to manage a highly scheduled workload
- Good problem-solving skills, including presenting data in various formats for different systems
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently and flexibly
- Educated to GCSE/'O' level standard (or equivalent experience)
- Intermediate IT skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
