Repairs Scheduler / Resource Planner - Strong Customer Service Skills required (training provided)

We are seeking a Repairs Scheduler to join the team at a busy national Housing Association. The role will contribute to the operational delivery of repairs and maintenance services. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient, effective, and customer-focused service delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in scheduling multi-disciplined teams within a repairs and maintenance environment and be proficient in using resource scheduling software.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Allocate repair requests to appropriate slots, ensuring they are completed within priority deadlines.
- Manage emergency jobs to ensure they are allocated and completed within agreed contractual timescales.
- Optimize job completions by scheduling and tracking all required work.
- Manage time effectively on the database for holidays, sickness, training, and van maintenance.
- Schedule follow-on works for maintenance teams as necessary, adhering to agreed processes and procedures.
- Ensure all PDAs/mobile communications are operational during core hours.
- Maintain accurate diaries, ensuring all work is at the correct status and job time and allocation are correct.
- Contact customers to remind them of upcoming appointments and verify completion of previous day's jobs.
- Monitor operatives' attendance at appointments and plan diaries.
- Coordinate with contractors to ensure timely completion of jobs.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Excellent Customer Service skills
- Experience in scheduling multi-disciplined teams within a repairs and maintenance environment is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- IT proficiency, particularly in Outlook and Excel.
- Attention to detail, and exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in an outbound contact centre, ideally within a housing association or local authority setting (preferred but not essential).
