About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our thriving department, located in Barnet. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Food Technology to KS3 and KS4 students and will be responsible for delivering engaging and challenging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Food Technology for Key Stage 3 and 4
• Assess and monitor students progress, providing constructive feedback
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure all students can succeed
• Contribute to the development of the Food Technology curriculum
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and engaging curriculum delivery

Person Specification:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• A degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related subject
• Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and 4 (desirable but not essential)
• Passion for food and nutrition education
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to motivate and inspire students
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
