Head of School
- Contract Type: Full Time (37.5 hours) - Permanent
- Location: University Campus based in Stratford, London
- Salary: Up to £90,000 per annum
We are excited to announce an opening for a Head of School at the at this universities groups new London Campus. This role offers the opportunity to lead academic and operational initiatives, ensuring high-quality delivery and enhancing student outcomes at a vibrant, international campus.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Provide inspirational leadership across the campus, collaborating with the management team
- Drive continuous improvement by implementing strategic visions that meet aspirational targets for student outcomes and progression.
- Develop new courses and progression routes in partnership with the University, Business Development, and Student Recruitment teams to maximise recruitment opportunities.
- Maintain high academic standards and lead by example in scholarly activity and research.
- Ensure compliance with all associated legislation and regulations.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and professional development of academic staff.
- Lead the planning, management, and delivery of academic programmes to ensure alignment with validation requirements and optimal student outcomes.
- Address day-to-day operational issues, including student or staff disciplinary processes.
- Analyse data and feedback to monitor and enhance progression targets.
- Lead on the Annual Evaluation Process and preparation of reports for UoH and University.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD or doctoral degree in Business or a related field.
- Strong research and publication background, with contributions to 3 journals and above.
- Fellowship of AdvanceHE or to be achieved within 12 months of appointment.
- Proven track record of successful academic leadership and management, preferably in an international environment.
- Experience in UK higher education and teaching international students.
- Skilled in leading innovation and facilitating change.
- Experience in planning and running complex education courses and programmes.
- Demonstrated ability in partnership working or management within the education sector.
