Senior Engineer

PSR Solutions are currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer in the Bedfordshire area. This will be working for a Tier 1 Contractor on a Civils and Highways Framework. They will be looking for someone with a good amount of background with delivering Civils and Highways packages in the past.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Engineer, you will be a pivotal figure in ensuring the successful execution of our clients civils and highways projects. Your role will encompass:

1. Contributes to the development of policies, plans, procedures and practices to deliver community targets, identifying and introducing new practices and procedures to deliver efficiency's.
2. Contributes to the delivery of the programme of works ensuring it is within budget, programme and specified quality.
3. Responsible for budgetary control of specific programmes of work, to ensure value for money is met.
4. Assist the Highway Authority with consultations with the Local Planning Authority for proposed developments when needed.
5. Agree detailed designs and ensure planning permission conditions/obligations are met at all times.
6. Attend/Chair Meetings and answer site queries/design queries in a timely manner.
7. Undertake extensive stakeholder liaison.
8. Instruct legal agreements to allow developers infrastructure works to happen.
9. Provide timely and accurate advice to the council
10. Manage and provide technical direction for team members dealing with all aspects of the highway service.
11. Specific individual and shared targets and objectives are defined annually within the performance management framework.

Requirements:

1. Engineering Qualifications:Hold a degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
2. AutoCAD Proficiency:Demonstrable expertise in AutoCAD for precise project planning and execution.
3. Experience:Proven experience in civils projects, particularly in highways, drainage, roads and kerbs.
4. Technical Skills:Proficient in relevant engineering software, with in-depth knowledge of industry standards and regulations.
5. Communication Skills:Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors.
6. Problem-Solving:Strong problem-solving skills, enabling quick and effective resolution of challenges encountered during project execution.
7. Leadership:Proven leadership capabilities, motivating site teams to work collaboratively and ensuring a productive and positive work environment.
