Housing Quality and Standards Manager - Greenwich Council Location: Greenwich (2 days a week in office) Pay: £35 per hour (Umbrella) Contract: Initial 3+ months, with possible extension Start Date: ASAP
Greenwich Council is seeking an experienced Housing Quality and Standards Manager to join our Housing Strategy and Improvement team within the Housing and Safer Communities Directorate. This is an exciting opportunity to lead service improvement projects that directly impact the lives of residents in one of London's most diverse boroughs.
Key Responsibilities:Lead and deliver housing service improvement projects with measurable outcomes
Support compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing's standards for council landlords
Provide expert input into housing casework, including Ombudsman and ICO-related matters
Analyse housing data and policies to generate actionable insights and recommendations
Collaborate confidently with officers, stakeholders, and residents across departments
Prepare and present reports and recommendations to internal and external audiences
Promote best practice and continuous improvement in housing quality and service delivery
? Strong knowledge of the legal and regulatory framework governing social housing? Experience working within or alongside council or registered provider housing services? Proven track record delivering successful service improvement projects in large organisations? Excellent analytical, communication, and report-writing skills? Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels? Skilled in Microsoft Office; experience with Microsoft Dynamics and PowerBI desirable? Understanding of Ombudsman processes and the ICO framework preferred? Commitment to equality, diversity, and Council values in every aspect of the role
