Sales Ledger Controller

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Part-time Sales Ledger Controller to become a valuable addition to their team, specifically in this pivotal standalone sales ledger role. This position demands expertise in sales ledger and credit control and a significant emphasis on strong interpersonal skills. Given the need for interaction with various areas of the business, excellent communication and relationship-building abilities are crucial for success. Duties include:

• Generate and process sales invoices with accuracy and efficiency.
• Manage customer accounts, including query resolution and distribution of monthly statements.
• Allocate incoming payments and ensure accurate cash allocation.
• Credit control, including proactive debt management and liaising with solicitors when necessary.
• Maintain invoice financing to support smooth cash flow operations.
• Reconcile accounts as part of the month-end process.
• Open new accounts, assess and set credit limits, arrange credit insurance, and handle all related administrative tasks.
• Weekly and monthly reporting.

The Candidate:

Ideally, this role is best suited for an individual who has extensive sales ledger experience and enjoys credit control, with a strong commitment to accurate data entry, attention to detail, and a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.

The role also requires effective prioritisation of workload, the capacity to work independently and proactively, and an adaptable and flexible approach to tasks. A positive attitude is highly valued in this role.

Remuneration:

• Salary negotiable, per annum depending on experience.
• Role hours: 20-25 per week
• 32 days holiday including statutory days.
