Exam Invigilator

We are looking to recruit a number of exam invigilators for the upcoming exams season to work at a lovely secondary school in Sandwich, Kent CT13. The ideal candidate will have previous experience as an Invigilator.

Position: Exam Invigilator

Location: Sandwich, Kent CT13

Dates: Various dates in May and June - morning and afternoon sessions available

Rate: 12- 13 per hour

The role of an Exam Invigilator:

• Supervise students during examinations, ensuring a calm and orderly environment is maintained throughout.
• Distribute and collect exam papers and materials following examination regulations and school procedures.
• Provide clear instructions to students before, during, and after exams, addressing any queries professionally.
• Ensure all exam conditions are adhered to, including checking student identification, enforcing time limits, and monitoring for any instances of malpractice.
• Respond appropriately to any disruptions or emergencies, following school policies and reporting incidents as necessary.
• Assist with the setup and preparation of examination rooms, ensuring the correct layout and materials are in place.
• Accurately complete all necessary documentation, including attendance registers and incident reports.
• Support students with additional needs by assisting in line with agreed access arrangements.
• Collaborate effectively with other invigilators, exams officers, and school staff to ensure the smooth running of all examinations.
• Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism, adhering to safeguarding and data protection policies.

Requirements:

• Hold an Enhanced DBS Disclosure on the update service, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
• Legal right to work in the UK
