HIAB HGV Class 2 Driver - Building Materials


We're looking for a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver with HIAB expertise to join our team. You'll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of palletised goods throughout the local area. This role demands a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, efficient delivery management, and a focus on providing professional customer service.


£16.34/h Weekly pay

Your Responsibilities:

• Operating a truck equipped with a remote HIAB crane for loading and unloading.

• Conducting thorough pre-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.

• Securing cargo for safe transport and ensuring proper loading/unloading procedures.

• Maintaining accurate delivery logs and all necessary documentation.

• Communicating effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding schedules and potential delays.

• Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations, prioritizing the safety of yourself and others.

• Performing routine vehicle checks and promptly reporting any maintenance issues.

 

What You'll Need:

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 driving licence, CPC, and Digi card.

• Essential: Proven 2 year experience with HIAB operations 
• Clean licence up to 6points 

• Solid understanding of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving.

• Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.

• A basic understanding of vehicle maintenance is a plus.
