About the School: We are a thriving secondary school in Barnet committed to providing high-quality education in a supportive and inclusive environment. We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to ensure lessons run smoothly when teaching staff are absent.

Job Purpose: The Cover Supervisor will supervise classes across a range of subjects, maintaining high standards of behaviour and engagement while following lesson plans provided by teaching staff. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a school environment and make a positive impact on students' learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise classes and maintain a safe, positive learning environment.

• Follow lesson plans provided by teachers and support students in completing set tasks.

• Ensure students remain on task and adhere to school behaviour policies.

• Monitor and report on student behaviour and progress to teachers.

• Assist with the preparation of classroom resources as needed.

• Support the school's ethos of inclusion, respect, and high expectations.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable.

• Strong communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.

• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.

• Patience, empathy, and a professional attitude.

• Relevant qualifications (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent) are advantageous.
