Tradewind are on the lookout for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant for a lovely school in Hertford who are in need of a new SEN Team member to support within the classroom and a range of pastoral needs!

SEN Teaching Assistant - Hertford, Hertfordshire

ASAP 2025 start

90 - 100 p/day based on level of experience

Monday - Friday Term time only

This is a great opportunity to work in a local, well run Secondary School in Hertford as part of the Pastoral team who are looking for a passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. With an abundance of resources and a supportive Pastoral team headed by the Deputy Head, you will be responsible for supporting class teachers with various pupils and liaising with parents, external agencies and the schools SENCO and SLT teams. The SLT team here are incredibly approachable and always there to lend an ear as Staff well being is a huge priority.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pastoral support to all students with a focus on welfare
• Support class teachers in lessons and with interventions
• Track progress of students and asses wider contributing factors
• Work together with the Pastoral team to create engaging learning activities
• Cultivate a classroom atmosphere that is positive and inclusive

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience working with SEN
• Adaptability and flexibility
• Be able to communicate effectively
• Ability to work in a team and support others
