Criminology Lead Teacher

Collingwood College is seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Criminology Lead Teacher to join our Humanities team. This part-time role offers the opportunity to become full-time for candidates who can also teach an additional Humanities subject such as Sociology, History, Geography, or RE.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Lead the delivery and development of Criminology, ensuring high-quality teaching and strong student outcomes.
- Engage and inspire learners with a curriculum that fosters a passion for criminological thinking.
- Teach Criminology at KS4 and/or KS5, depending on experience.
- Lead curriculum planning and assessment within Criminology.
- Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement.
- Contribute to the wider Humanities department.
- For full-time consideration: teach an additional Humanities subject.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Criminology.
- Strong understanding of curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent classroom practice and behaviour management skills.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to teaching and leadership.
- Ability to teach an additional Humanities subject (desirable for full-time applicants).
