Location: LondonSalary: £60,000 - £70,000 (DOE)

A growing environmental consultancy is seeking an Associate Acoustic Consultant to lead the re-establishment of its in-house acoustics capability in London. With acoustics currently outsourced, this is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a service line, rebuild internal expertise, and shape the future direction of the discipline within a supportive, expanding business.

This role is ideal for a senior consultant with an entrepreneurial mindset who wants real influence over growth, standards, and team development, while benefiting from the stability and platform of an established organisation.

You will lead the delivery and development of the acoustics offering from the London office, working across a diverse project portfolio while driving the transition of outsourced work back in-house.

Projects include:

• Wind energy developments

• Planning and urban development

• Residential schemes

• Battery energy storage (BESS)

• Employment and industrial facilities

• Lead acoustics projects from inception to completion

• Produce and review high-quality technical reports

• Act as technical lead for clients and internal teams

• Improve processes, QA systems, and best practice standards

• Reduce outsourcing by building in-house capability

• Support business development and service growth

• Mentor junior staff and help build a London-based team

• Senior or Associate-level experience in acoustic consultancy

• Strong technical delivery and client management skills

• Proven ability to maintain and raise quality standards

• Commercial awareness and growth mindset

• Motivation to build and lead a team long-term
