Head of Financial Analysis and Planning

Prospectus is delighted to be working with a leading international animal welfare charity in its search for a Head of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead the financial planning and finance business partnering team.

This is a full-time, permanent role based in London, with an expectation of one day per week in the office.

Reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis will work closely with department heads and the senior leadership team, providing financial analysis to support decision-making on operational, financial, and strategic matters. The postholder will lead the preparation and production of accurate monthly financial reports, identifying variances against forecasts and budgets. Additionally, they will reform the organisation's planning and budgeting processes, transitioning towards a three-year rolling forecast and implementing a more efficient and effective financial approach.

To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CIPFA) with demonstrable experience in both business partnering and all aspects of financial planning and analysis. You will have strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and coach finance teams to achieve business objectives. Excellent Excel skills are essential, along with proven experience using the SUNfinancial system or a similar accounting platform. You will also have a track record of driving change and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness within finance functions.
