The Job

Providing technical insight and training for financial advisers whilst also raising the profile of the Business within the financial services sector by providing articles and comment in industry publications and presenting at and participating in industry forums.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Presenting on relevant tax and wrapper technical issues to adviser firms and industry forums
• Working with Sales to identify and deliver technical training where required
• Working proactively with Marketing to determine and implement plans for communicating technical matters.
• Providing technical comment and insight in industry publications and industry media
• Participating in industry forums to keep up to date with latest developments and provide input to ensure the requirements of the Business are met
• Provide input and deliver, if required, technical training for the Business
• Provide expert guidance and support to help resolve highly complex or unusual technical queries from internal teams (e.g., sales, operations, legal, compliance)

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing technical articles for adviser via newsletters and Transact-Online
• Working with internal Training Manager to ensure appropriate technical content for relevant training modules for staff

• Comprehensive understanding of current and pending legislation and FCA rules related to pensions
• Comprehensive knowledge of various trusts structures and tax rules and their application in financial planning
• A detailed understanding of onshore and offshore investment bonds, their tax treatment, and how they fit into financial planning
• A good understanding of the wrap platform market
• A good understanding of the wider personal financial services sector
