Are you an experienced Head of English/Lead English Teacher looking to progress their career at a growing Secondary School in Redbridge?

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to appoint an outstanding and inspiring leader with the skills and drive to develop English into a lead faculty in the school. You will demonstrate ambition to take on whole school responsibilities in preparation for future Senior Leadership.

You will be joining the school at an exciting time in its development. The school has a clear strategy to improve the outcomes for all students and are looking for a skilled practitioner to contribute to this development by making English exciting and relevant to the students' future.

The ideal Head of English candidate should:
Have the ability to teach across the full age range, including AS and A Level.
Have a proven track record of consistently adding value to their students in all the schools they have taught.
Possess a recognised Teaching Qualification (PGCE, QTS, BEd. or equivalent) Already be a confident and enthusiastic Teacher of History with the initiative to facilitate the progression of the department.
You will be passionate about your subject with excellent curriculum knowledge, able to motivate and inspire your pupils.
Hold a valid DBS check (or CRB issued within the last 12 months), as well as any applicable Overseas Police Checks

The department is very successful due to the excellent teaching standards and use of the fantastic facilities that will be at your disposal. You will be required to be passionate, approachable and confident in your own ability.

You will have a proven track record as a Head of English in raising standards and ensuring progress in the classroom and will be expected to have demonstrable experience in the following:
Structured Lesson Planning
Behavioural & Classroom Management
Organisational Skills.
