Teacher of English

Prospero Teaching's Permanent Recruitment Division are looking for a Teacher of English (with potential of a responsibility) to work in a Secondary school near Sidcup, Starting in April 2025. This position will be offered on a permanent basis.

Line Management responsibility for N/A Main duties and responsibilities: Teaching

To teach students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out by the student in academy and elsewhere
To assess, record and report on the attendance, progress, development, and attainment of students and to keep such records as are required
To provide, or contribute to, oral and written assessments, reports and references relating to individual students and groups of students
To ensure that ICT, Literacy, Numeracy, and academy subject specialism(s) are reflected in the teaching/learning experience of students
To undertake a designated programme of teaching
To ensure a high-quality learning experience for students which meets internal and external quality standards
To prepare and update subject materials
To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning.

Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time
Pay Rate: M1 - UPS3 + TLR
Hours: Full time - Normal school hours (PPA time included)

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
Degree (2:1 or above) in any subject
GCSE English and Maths grade C or above
Qualified Teacher Status
PGCE and QTS in Secondary Education
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold right to work in the UK.
Hold an Enhanced Child Barred list DBS certificate, registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
Provide two professional child related references
Have Qualified Teacher Status
