Carbon60 are proud to be partnering with Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services to recruit for a Production Supervisor. Lufthansa Technik are a global leading provider of maintenance, repair, and overhaul services for the civil aviation industry.

This Production Supervisor position is on a permanent basis and has become available due to continued growth and expansion. This role reports directly to the Production Manager (PM). In the absence of the Production Manager, the Supervisor/s will have delegated functional and disciplinary authority over the operational program and all colleagues within the department

Role Responsibilities will include:

Driving Business

  • Think and act as part of the LTLGS organisation, ensure safety is your number one priority.
  • Hardwire commercial thinking into your actions by taking calculated risks and balancing quality, costs and delivery impact. Ensure speed and discipline in task execution. Take consequences of your decisions into consideration, look for pragmatic solutions and always make sure that our customers and our authorities can trust us.
  • Accountability for the team/s Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality standards as laid down by the Quality department and company procedures.
  • To be aware of the sites COMAH responsibilities and to take appropriate actions in the
  • event of an incident.
  • Challenge the team to continuously strive for higher standards and to exceed defined targets.
  • Required to manage interfaces with other production and support departments to optimise efficiency's.
  • Encourage team development via the implementation of lean working principles.
  • Maximise IT interfaces to enhance business development.
  • Manage consistently both favourable and adverse team/individual performance.

Skills and Experience required:

  • HNC/HND (or equivalent) preferably in an engineering or aircraft maintenance discipline or
  • Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship or demonstrable equivalent experience leading technical teams.
  • Evidence of people management experience within an operational, unionised environment.
  • Use of proven communication skills, engaging and influencing direct reports.
  • Proven experience in performance management.
  • Coached and identified development areas for self and teams.
  • Understanding of MRO operations and processes.
  • Understanding of aviation regulatory requirements (e.g. CAA/FAA/EASA)
  • Working knowledge of Health & safety Regulations
  • PC literate: ability to input and manipulate data using multiple platforms (e.g. SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Shifts - either one week of 6am to 2pm and one week of 2pm to 10pm rotating weekly, or, 4 on 4 off.
